Elect new Band Representatives

It is critical that each Band elect representatives that will work for all the people, not form a click or gang and run the Council for their own benefit.  Select one person ahead of time and nominate and support them.  Don't split your vote among two or more good people and let the current 'problem' representatives win!

The power is in the hands of the Members.  Your vote is more important than ever.  I beg and pray that every Pit River Tribe Member attends the 2007 Elections!

The current Council has created full time jobs for themselves, at our expense.  The Council was never intended to meet daily (at about $100 per person per day) - most Tribal Councils meet once or twice per month, leave day to day operations up to the elected officers, staff and committees.

As a Madesi, I am ashamed of the family who is trying to control our Band and the Tribe.  There have been questions raised that this person may not even be a Madesi.

The current corupt Council may propose some changes in ordinances at the Elections.  It would be wise to reject these, even though some ideas may have some merit.  Let a new and fair Council review these.

The election of a NEW and FAIR Council is in your hands - VOTE !!!

      I agree that we all need to vote on August 18th. If we don't come and show up to have our voices heard than I guess being pit river means very little to us. I have been to several meetings and elections and have to say that it gets crazy like name calling yelling and even california's finest show up on occasions . So on this happy note please come out and let your voice and votes be heard and counted because with out your voices and votes do someday make a difference and don't let anyone fool you into saying my voice or votes don't count. belive me that is what was said to me before and yes I can make a difference and so can you so believe in your leader and back her at all times she is very wise and will help if they ever give her a chance . May the spirit of our ancestors always be with you in your hearts and souls . just my luck saying goodnight and good luck August 18th 2007

      The Loyalty Oath proposed is closer to the one used in North Korea, not the US.

      ...and by the way, were buffalo ever in the Pit River area?

Hello can anyone assault one whom scratches her husband and then goes to jail over some white chick her husband looked at after only being married for one year get over it all men look at women give me a break. So you tell me if she was assaulted at elections. give it up sharon you lost fair and square so go get yourself a job like the rest of us. As for you and matt please get over it. The tribal leaders will do whats right for all the pit river tribe not just have senseless meetings to collect the money from them. I was never so happy to see that what goes around will eventually come around . Did your parents ever teach you to do unto others as you want them to do unto you.
      I guess all the tribe is tired of the threats and rumors you guys spread. I also think you disrespected the buffalo by treating the animal that fed your people for many years . They are a beautiful animal and I hope those that were named after them walk tall and proud because you truly are all leaders and will do good things for our people. Those that thought they could be funny with this all you should be ashamed of your selfs . I heard this website came from burney shows you how smart these people are. well all for this time I am watching you and will report all I know of the truth .
