If we are going to change the current Council that rules by threat and intimidation to keep their power and income from unnecessary Council meetings, the change must come from the Bands.  Elect a Band Council that pledges to represent and serve ALL THE MEMBERS, respect the constitution, oppose and reverse disenrollments, and use the Tribe's money wisely - not waste it on 'consultants' and divert money into their own pockets!

Members who are working toward this positive change must select ONE person they can support and nominate them, and vote for them, to replace the current corrupt Council.

        The Members voted to implement changes approved at the 5/31/07 meeting which have been ignored by the current Council, restore the Chairperson and Secretary, terminate the current Tribal Administrator immediately, cancel all Tribal Council meetings until after election of new Band Representatives and veto all Tribal Council decisions made after October 1, 2006 to reverse Enrollment ordinance and Election ordinance changes, Land ordinance, allotments and assignments, Housing and "any other area that is deemed to be in violation of the Pit River Constitution or that is determined to be detrimental to the Pit River Tribe or Members.

        It was a good day.
